Netflix videos always start out great, but every 5-20 minutes it will stop and re-buffer saying that my internet connection has slowed and that it's adjusting my connection to prevent further delays. We are a small company of several people. We all work from our own homes.(3 different locations) We need software to organize our sales leads, invoices, etc but we all need to access the same data so we need software that will store this information in a database online ( a web hosting account lets say that offers mysql databases). Recently, I've decided that I want to move on with my life and start building myself up more than I have in the past. I'm married and I have an 8 month old daughter. I'm a stay-at-home mom, and although I'm happy in that role, I don't feel challenged in many other ways. I've signed up for a couple of classes and I'm happily looking forward to attending some weight watchers meetings and joining a gym next month so that I can lose the left-over baby weight and feel good about myself. 13. Open Question: What breed of dog do I have?!?
I need opinions from breeders and others very familiar with small breed dogs. I have been looking for a puppy for about a year, scanning petfinder.com and local small breed rescue shelters. I was really looking mainly for a maltese, shih-tzu, or any toy breed mix of the two which would give me a small dog that would be comfortable in an apartment as well as not shed as much as other breeds. To my excitement, about a three weeks ago we found an ad in the IWANNA about 2 hours away that there were Maltipoo puppies at 7 weeks for $200. My boyfriend went and bought one of them knowing that it was priced lower because he hadn't had his shots yet.. probably the first clue it wasn't a good breeder. When he got home with him, he was so small, after weighing him at petsmart, .8 lbs small. I also discovered some fleas which after 2 hours, pulled 20 off his little body. When trying to get his shots the next day, as the breeder stated he was right at 7 weeks, the vet refused saying the pup was only about 5 weeks. Luckily my roommate has a mini dachshund to help with socialization and he has shown no signs of aggression or timidity. I was wondering, however, he doesn't look quite like a maltese or poodle at this age and though we are fairly sure the mom (poodle) that was on-site was the mom since my boyfriend saw a pup nursing (another bad sign), I was just wondering if there were any ideas or educated guesses that someone could lend based on his picture and a 10lb poodle mommy and a maltese daddy who reportedly weighed about 5 or 6 lbs. Boone does not shed at all and as you can see from the picture he is adorable and I will love him no matter what he looks like. This picture was taken yesterday and from the vet's estimate, he is somewhere between 6 and 7 weeks. Any thoughts? I want to say poodle for sure but with the smaller snout, I know that he may very well be mixed with maltese. Just hasn't started fluffing up yet, possibly due to his young age. He was 1.2 lbs last weekend (after a week of TLC) when I weighed him but due to bad weather I haven't gotten to weigh him again since. Hoping for 2 lbs next weekend so we can get flea prevention!! :) And I wish there was more information publicized about bad breeders because if I had been able to see the puppy before my boyfriend bought it we could have figured out that it was just completely too small. I know now that if this less than 1 lb puppy stayed with that breeder he probably would have died from dehydration and anemia, but I would have preferred not to keep a backyard breeder in business. :(

My husband is very secretive, has online dating profiles, hides his emails from me, chats with strangers and doesn't talk about his plans or his financial situation or his business deal with me at all. I just filed my 2009 Federal income tax return a few weeks ago and sent the I.R.S. a money order for the amount due. Today I received a 1099-SSA form showing that I had received an additional $364.00 (which I forgot to report on line 20a of 1040 form). This is non-taxable Social Security income so I won't owe the I.R.S. any extra money but I was still wondering if I need to file an amended return now or won't it be necessary since the $364.00 is non-taxable anyway?. Also, does a person open themselves up to additional scrutiny or unwanted attention by filing an amended return/1040X?. In other words, does this send up a giant "red flag" and cause the I.R.S. to probe, prod and peek into your life -or- do they simply file the new (amended) data and move on?. I've run a small, home-based business with very low profit margins for years and never had any issues with my taxes (or the I.R.S.) and I've filed every year but I also read that when your self-employed and/or take deductions for home office space, etc the IRS tends to pay more attention to your return and now, if I file an amended return/1040X I'm wondering if it's going to open me up to even more scrutiny or even an audit. I was just thinking about random stuff like I always do, and this is what I came up with. A business that provides service to the people. A service that looks for the best deals for the customer based on their needs. Now what does this mean? -I thought of this after being sickened at all the false advertisements such as the "6 burger grill" that I bought, that can barely squeeze in two regular sized patties.- This company will look at a form filled out by the customer, including the type of item they want to purchase, the minimum and maximum or needed specifications, and the minimum and maximum price. The company will then search through a database of gathered research and find the closest matching products, then examine reviews, quality, durability, and then decide which would be the best suited, and the best deal for the customer. Once approved, the company can search through a database of retailers that have that item in stock, and have them reserve it for you to pick-up, or place an order of shipment. For example, say I want a new receiver for my home theater system. It needs to be black, have x amount of inputs/outputs, must have at least x amount of wattage, must be HDMI compatible with two ports, must be user-friendly, must fit inside a 2ft x 2.5ft x 3ft enclosure, and must be between $350-$600. Instead of spending my whole weekend running to-and-fro electronic stores, the company can look through and find which product best suits my needs. This idea will keep people from getting ripped off by false advertisements, save hours of personal searching time by the customer, and allow the customer to get the best they can out of their money. I don't know what a price range would be for this service. I really haven't thought of it much, just a 5 minute idea. What do you all think?

Okay, okay I know this is going to sound like I'm high and living out of some badly scripted movie, but I'm the paranoid type. My dad works as a Financial Systems Analyst (fancy for accountant) for the Department of Defense. Anyway, the past few months he's been going on a lot more business trips than usual, like three times as many. He always gives me his hotel information in case of emergencies or if I need more money in my checking account or something. So one time I needed something, I called the hotel and requested him. They had no record of him staying at the hotel. Not only that, his four day trip turned into some mysterious eight day trip... and his phone wasn't turned on (straight to voicemail). Super creepy? Well it happened a few more times before I called his work and they assured me he was there and that he was just super busy in meetings or something (Government people...). Well, so he supposedly had a trip to San Fransisco and I called his hotel and guess what? He wasn't there! His cell phone was on, but he wasn't answering. I must have spent four or five hours calling every hotel in the area. ALL said he wasn't there. He has also been working a lot more. Usually he's home by 4 (unless he goes out with his friends or girlfriend), but he's been working till like 6 or 7 and not coming home till like 8. His girlfriend of 4 years broke up with him for working too much! On top of this, about a month ago this weird 866 number kept calling. A few times I answered and it was a woman (sounded black) in a very hushed voice, distressed voice. She would ask for my father. I would say the generic "He's not her right now, can I take a message?" She would just hang up. I called back a few times expecting some company, but it was a personal number. It was to some guy named guy, and when it went to voicemail it said that it couldn't take anymore messages as it was full. I told my dad and he said it was probably a solicitor or bill collector (except my dad isn't in any kind of debt). They continued to call and I would hear breathing and then the call would end. Sometimes I would answer and it would immediately end. Now the phone isn't even in service. I haven't heard from "them" in a week, so I was curious and tried to call them back. On top of all that I came home yesterday to find our house a complete wreck. It was ransacked. Nothing was stolen though! The intruder had taken stuff out of drawers and closets (my neatly organized closet TRASHED!) and thew it everywhere. I think that my dad is like a secret spy or something?! This sounds crazy, I know. But its really weird. I think that he's maybe an assassin or something top secret. I haven't found a secret room in our house yet (like in the movies), but IDK. I feel that everyone's post out there is to prevent cats from reproducing. My cat doesn't even like the outdoors much (we have to put him out in the garden and he likes to run back indoors), and has always been indoors. I've stopped giving him flea drops etc. I think vets don't understand me properly (maybe to them it's a business and they try to sell things, I mean I'm not going to take malleria tablets unless I travel, right?). Is there anyone out there who agrees? I want my cat to have a natural unaltered life because I believe it's not my decision to change something of his or deprive him in any way. In the wild, I know big cats or wild cats etc don't require this type of attention, it's the decision humans have imposed to control the number of cats. But as someone's already said, cats don't need to be put down, they can be re-homed. And I also see the points raised by others about how cat shelters cannot cope with growing numbers. I feed terrible to hear things about cats being put down. He's receiving his regular vaccinations, money's not an issue, his behaviour around the house has always been playful, he shows aggression against one his toys but that's the instinct of a cat. I've never seen him attack me or my family, he's loved by all of us so much, and I can't see how I should follow the general opinion of all cat lovers to neuter the little man... I do however hope that you can give me something to base my decision on. Hi, been in the work force less than two years and find my days to be well slow. Heck I remember pulling countless hours in labs and doing research at the end of college and thought it would be nice if it were slower in the work force. And boy is it slower. Put in my 8 hrs and go home, but the amount of work I do at work in 8 hours I could easily do in 2, especially if I work at the pace of my college years. And its mostly the same thing day in day out. By that I mean there are a lot of things of different natures, but you get used to it. I find myself sitting around at times thinking of going back to school, but for what? More engineering? Why? Is it really just for the money? Would it be better if we had a standard base salary with a larger performance/task completion differential? That would surely make things more interesting and exciting. Do any of you else feel undervalued or under challenged? I know I am not alone, friends (engineers) in other sectors also feel this way. At this point we are going the premed route, but for the sake of loyalty to the field, if nothing else, what other paths have you taken that seemed worth while, both in terms of money and satisfaction, both in interest and appreciation? Currently I'm on the management track and make in the 60k range with a ceiling in 10yrs of about 120k (Midwest region) fyi, if positions open up and I give a damn. Don't get me wrong I have the utmost respect for our field, but the business and management outside the our departments irritate me. -Deep down feeling I have been avoiding. I guess I don't want to figure this stuff out 20 yrs from now. Have anyone of you felt this way? What did you do or how did you accept the status quo?

My fiance is currently working as a body shop technician (painter, etc) at a local body shop. For all intents and purposes, he is considered self-employed there. We live on 2 acres of land outside of town, and he (and I) are VERY interested in putting a body shop out here. The problem is, our land is zoned residential and not commercial. There is one specific account that my fiance has his eyes on "stealing" from his current employer. My fiance would have to undercut his current employers labor rates to get it, but even if he cuts his rates in HALF, he will still make a killing. The problem is, his current employer knows where we live, and also knows that we're only zoned residential, so if we put a shop in and start advertising it, he could have us closed up since we're not zoned right. My question is this: Could my fiance put up a shop, steal the account (by word of mouth only - no advertising), and "get away" with the zoning if he doesn't put a business sign up in the lot, or advertise in the newspaper, phone book, or on the radio? I know that home based businesses are allowed in residential areas and am trying to find a loophole that he'd fall into. Thanks in advance!
